Cookie policy

One cookie to keep you signed in, one optional to count visits.

VivahSangini does not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data. Besides the sign-in cookie, we use Google Analytics to count visits, but only if you accept it. This page lists everything we store in your browser. Last updated October 2026.

Sign-in cookie

vivaah_session — set when you sign in, so the site knows it is you on each page. It cannot be read by scripts on the page, is only sent over a secure connection, and lasts up to 30 days or until you sign out.

It is strictly necessary: without it you cannot stay signed in, so it cannot be switched off.

Visit statistics (only if you accept)

If you press Accept on the cookie notice, we load Google Analytics. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ETF5W38948, which last up to two years, and sends Google the pages you view, roughly where you are (city level), your device and browser type, and how you reached us. We use it only to see how many people visit and which pages work. We never put your name, phone number, email or profile details into it.

If you press Decline, nothing is sent to Google. You can change your mind any time with Cookie settings in the footer; choosing Decline there also removes these cookies. Admin pages are never measured.

Activity timer (browser storage)

While you are signed in we keep the time of your last activity in your browser's local storage, so every open tab can warn you and sign you out after a period of inactivity. It holds only a timestamp and never leaves your device. A second item remembers whether you accepted or declined visit statistics, so we do not ask on every page.

Payments

When you buy a membership, the secure checkout window is provided by Razorpay, our payment partner. Razorpay may set its own cookies inside that window to process the payment and prevent fraud; they are covered by Razorpay's own privacy policy.

Fonts

Our typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser asks Google's servers for the font files, which means Google sees your IP address for that request; Google Fonts does not set cookies.

Questions about your data?
