Terms of use

VivahSangini (“VivahSangini”, “we”, “us”) operates a matrimonial platform for individuals and families in India and the diaspora who are looking to find a marriage partner. By creating a profile, browsing profiles, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms of use, in full and without modification. If you do not agree, please do not use VivahSangini.

These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and VivahSangini. Where required by law, they are treated as an electronic record and do not require a physical or digital signature to take effect.

To register and maintain a profile on VivahSangini, you confirm that:

• the person the profile describes is at least 18 years old if female, or at least 21 years old if male — the minimum legal marriageable age under Indian law — and is legally competent to enter into a marriage and into this agreement;
• the profile is created in good faith, for the genuine purpose of finding a marriage partner, and not for commercial promotion, data collection, or any other unrelated purpose;
• every detail on the profile — age, marital status, education, family details, and photographs — is accurate and belongs to the person the profile describes; and
• you are not barred from using the platform under any applicable law.

You may create a profile for yourself, or, with their knowledge and consent, on behalf of a son, daughter, sibling, or other relative — VivahSangini supports families managing a search together. The eligibility requirements above always apply to the person the profile is for, regardless of who holds the account.

You are responsible for keeping your password and any verification codes confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. One person or family may keep one active profile per individual being matched — duplicate profiles for the same person may be merged or removed.

Tell us straight away, through the Contact page, if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

VivahSangini offers a free tier and paid membership plans (currently Gold, Diamond and Platinum). Every paid plan is a one-time purchase for a stated period, not a recurring subscription — see the Membership plans page for what each tier includes and its current price, which may change over time.

Refunds on a paid plan are handled under our Refund policy: in short, a request made within 24 hours of purchase, by email or through the Contact page, qualifies for a 20% refund; requests after that window do not.

We may suspend, deactivate, or delete an account that breaches these terms, submits false information, or is used in a way that puts other members at risk, at our discretion and without a refund of any remaining plan period. You may deactivate or permanently delete your own account at any time from account settings.

A new profile is held for admin review before it appears in search or matches, and we may return it to review, hide it, or reject it at any time if something on it looks incorrect or against these terms. Your mobile number is confirmed with a one-time code when you register; further checks by our team, and the trust score and badges that reflect them, are visible to other members — the full process is on the Safety & verification page. Verification confirms the specific things stated there; it is not a background check and does not guarantee the character, intentions, or marital history of any member.

While using VivahSangini, you agree that you will not:

• harass, threaten, stalk, or send unwelcome or abusive messages to another member;
• misrepresent your identity, age, marital status, or any other profile detail;
• use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to access or collect data from the platform;
• solicit money, gifts, or financial information from another member, or use the platform for any commercial, promotional, or fraudulent purpose;
• upload a photo or document that is not your own, or is of another person without their consent; or
• post or send content that is obscene, hateful, defamatory, or unlawful, or that shares someone else's personal contact details without their consent.

Every profile and conversation can be reported or blocked. We may investigate reports, remove content, and suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, without prior notice where we believe it is necessary to protect other members.

You keep ownership of the profile details, photos, and messages you submit. By posting them, you give VivahSangini a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and moderate that content for the purpose of operating the platform — for example, showing your profile to a match, or reviewing a photo before it is visible to others. You choose each photo's visibility (public, on request, or members-only) from your photo settings, and that choice is what controls who can see it.

You are responsible for what you post. We may remove content, or decline to publish it, if it breaches these terms or our content guidelines.

What we collect and how we use it is set out in our Privacy policy, which forms part of this agreement. Contact details between members unlock only once interest has been sent and accepted on both sides, as described on the Safety page.

The VivahSangini name, logo, and the platform's design, text, and code are owned by VivahSangini or its licensors. Using the platform gives you a personal, limited, revocable license to access it for your own matrimonial search — nothing here transfers ownership of that intellectual property to you, and the license ends automatically if you breach these terms.

VivahSangini is a platform that helps you find and connect with potential matches — it does not arrange, officiate, or guarantee any marriage, and does not guarantee that you will find a match at all. Profile details are supplied by members; despite our review and verification steps, we cannot guarantee that every detail on every profile is accurate, and you should use your own judgement — including meeting a prospective match's family and verifying important details yourself — before making any decision.

The platform is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access, and we are not responsible for the conduct of any member, on or off the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VivahSangini is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, or from your interactions with another member. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid VivahSangini, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.

VivahSangini is a platform for adults seeking marriage and has zero tolerance for any content or behaviour that endangers or exploits a minor. Profiles must meet the minimum age requirements in Section 2 — a profile that does not is removed on discovery. Report any suspected child endangerment or exploitation immediately through the Contact page or by emailing contact@vivahsangini.com; we act on these reports without delay and, where required, notify the appropriate authorities.

You agree to indemnify VivahSangini against claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the platform. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [City], India. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

We may update these terms from time to time — for a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where practical, let members know. Continuing to use VivahSangini after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
