How to make a marriage biodata

  • Fill in the basic details: name, date of birth, height, religion and community.

  • Add a clear, recent photo and the family’s contact number or email.

  • Download it as a PDF, a Word file or a WhatsApp image, verifying your mobile number or email once.

What to include in a marriage biodata

A good biodata answers the questions a family asks first, on one or two pages, without clutter. These are the sections most families expect:

  • Personal details — full name, date of birth, height, marital status, religion, caste or community, gotra and mother tongue.
  • Horoscope details — time and place of birth, rashi, nakshatra and manglik status, if your family follows kundali matching.
  • Education and career — highest qualification, college, occupation, employer and, if you are comfortable, annual income.
  • Family details — parents’ names and occupations, brothers and sisters, family type, values and where the family lives.
  • About me — three or four honest lines about personality, interests and what you are looking for.
  • Photo and contact — one clear photo and a phone number or email the family is happy to share.

Tips for a biodata families actually read

  • Keep it to one or two pages. Families compare many biodatas; short ones get read.
  • Use a recent, well-lit photo with the face clearly visible — no heavy filters or group photos.
  • Write “About me” in your own words. Specific details (“I teach maths and run on weekends”) say more than adjectives.
  • Double-check dates, spellings and the phone number before sharing.
  • Share the PDF for printing and email, and the image on WhatsApp — it opens instantly on any phone.

Frequently asked questions

Is the biodata maker really free?

Yes. Making, previewing and downloading the biodata as PDF, Word or an image costs nothing. There is no watermark across the page — just a small footer line, which you can switch off.

Do I need to sign up?

No sign-up is needed to fill in the biodata and see the preview. When you download, we ask you to verify a mobile number or email with a one-time code and to agree to the terms. That also creates a VivahSangini profile for you, which stays hidden until you choose to complete it.

Which formats can I download?

A PDF for printing and email, a Word (.docx) file you can edit further, and a JPG image that is easy to share on WhatsApp. All three use the same details and design.

Can I make the biodata in Hindi?

Yes. Switch the language to हिंदी next to the preview. Headings and fixed choices such as religion, marital status and diet change to Hindi; names and other text you type stay exactly as you wrote them.

Can parents make a biodata for their son or daughter?

Yes — most biodatas in India are made by parents or siblings. Choose who the biodata is for at the top of the form, and add the family’s phone number or email under Contact details.

Is my information safe?

Nothing is saved while you fill in the form; the preview is made in your own browser. Details are stored only when you download and agree to create your profile, and that profile is hidden from other members until you submit it. You can delete it at any time.
