Every profile is reviewed by a person before it goes live.
A profile does not appear in search the moment it is created. When it is complete it goes into a review queue, and someone on our team looks at it before it is shown to anyone. Separate checks — phone, email, ID and more — then add badges you can see on each profile.
1. Profile review
Once you finish your details and preferences, your profile is sent for review. We check that it describes a real person looking to marry, that the photos are of that person, and that nothing breaks our terms.
Profiles that pass go live. Profiles that do not are sent back with a reason so they can be fixed. We can also hide a live profile at any time if a problem comes to light.
2. Photo checks
Photos are looked at as part of the profile review, and our team can take down any photo that is not of the member or breaks the rules. You decide who sees your photos — everyone, only people you approve, only paying members, or nobody — and you can change that at any time from your photo settings.
3. Verification badges
Every profile lists what has been confirmed: phone, email, education, employment and income. Each one shows as Verified only after it has actually been checked — otherwise it says Not verified, plainly.
A profile's trust score rises with each item that is confirmed.
What we never do
We never show your phone number or email on your profile. They open up to another member only when you accept their interest, or when they hold a membership that includes contact details — and staff will never ask you for a code or a password.
