Tap "Register free", tell us who the profile is for (yourself, a son, daughter, sibling, relative or friend), and confirm your mobile number with a one-time code. Registration is free and there is nothing to pay to create a profile, browse, or send and accept interest.
After registering you are taken through a short set of steps: basic details, community, education and career, where you live, photos, family, lifestyle, a few lines about yourself, and what you are looking for in a partner. Finishing the last step sends your profile for a quick review; most profiles are approved within a day.
Use your mobile number with either your password or a one-time code sent by SMS. If someone else created your profile for you (a family member or a marriage bureau), you may not have a password at all — just choose the one-time code option.
Every new profile is checked by a person on our team before it appears in search, so the people you browse are real and genuine. You can keep editing while you wait. If it has been more than a couple of days, write to us and we will look into it.
Open your profile steps again from the dashboard and edit any section — each one saves on its own. Your profile completeness score on the dashboard shows which parts are still missing; complete profiles appear higher in search.
You can have one profile picture and up to five more photos. JPG, PNG and WebP all work; photos are resized in your browser before upload, and hidden location data is removed from them. To swap your profile picture, upload a new one or choose "Make profile picture" on one of your other photos.
You decide for each photo: Everyone, Only on request (someone asks and you approve), or Only me. You can change this any time from your photos page. Every photo is also moderated before anyone else can see it.
Photos need to clearly show you and be at least 200 pixels on the shorter side. Group photos where it isn't clear who you are, photos with phone numbers or other contact details, and very small or blurry images are the most common reasons. Try a clear, recent photo of your face.
It compares a profile with the partner preferences you set — age, height, religion, community, location, education, income, diet and more — weighted by how much each matters to you. Anything you marked as a must-have is a hard filter, so you won't see a high score for someone who fails it. The strongest reasons are shown on each card.
On the search page, write what you want in your own words — for example "Hindu, never married, 27 to 32, based in Pune, vegetarian" — and tap "Set filters". We turn it into the same filters you could pick by hand and show the results. The filters it chose appear in the sidebar, so you can adjust any of them.
Use the filters on the search page: who you're looking for, age range, religion, marital status, education, diet and city. You can also show only profiles with a photo or only verified profiles, and sort by best match, newest, recently active or most complete.
Matches come from your partner preferences. Widen the age or height range, add more locations, or lower how important something is to you, and your matches update straight away.
Open their profile and tap "Send interest". They're notified and can accept or decline. Everything you've sent and received is on your Interests page.
A private list of profiles you want to come back to. Nobody is told when you shortlist them.
Contact details unlock only after interest has been sent and accepted by both of you. Being on a paid plan never unlocks someone's number on its own.
Once you're connected, conversations appear on your Messages page. Keep early conversations on VivahSangini until you know the person — it keeps the report and block tools within reach if something feels off.
Paid plans add things like starting conversations yourself, contact unlocks, seeing who viewed your profile, and viewing premium-only photos. The Membership page lists exactly what each plan includes and its current price.
No. Plans are one-time purchases for a fixed period, not subscriptions, so nothing is charged again unless you buy again. Buying a new plan replaces your current one.
Yes, if you ask within 24 hours of buying a plan. The refund policy explains exactly how much is refunded and how to ask for it.
Refresh your dashboard first — confirmation can take a minute. If it still isn't active, write to us with your registered mobile number and the payment reference from your bank or UPI app, and we'll sort it out.
It means the mobile number was confirmed with a one-time code, a member of our team reviewed the profile, and at least one more detail was checked. The Safety centre explains every step.
Use the report or block option on their profile or in your conversation with them. Blocking stops them seeing you or contacting you. Reports go to a person on our safety team. If someone asks you for money, stop replying and report them — genuine matches don't do that.
When you sign up you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy, including that your profile is shown to other members and your contact details are shared only when interest is mutual. We record the wording you agreed to with the date, time, IP address and device. You can withdraw at any time by hiding your profile or deleting your account from Settings. If a relative or a marriage bureau created a profile for you without your agreement, write to us and we will remove it.
Yes. Privacy and visibility settings let you control who sees your profile, and you can deactivate it completely without losing anything if you want a break.
Only to run your account and show your profile to the people you allow. We don't sell your data. The privacy policy has the full details, and you can write to us with any complaint about how your data is handled.
Check the number is correct with the country code, wait a minute, and request a new code — each new code cancels the last one. Codes expire after 10 minutes. If it still doesn't arrive, write to us from another number or email.
Go to Settings, then Password and devices. If you've never had a password (for example, a family member or bureau made your profile), sign in with a one-time code first and set one there.
Settings shows every device signed in to your account. Sign out any you don't recognise, and change your password if something looks unfamiliar.
You can deactivate (hide your profile and keep your data) or delete permanently from Settings. The "Delete my account" page explains the difference.
Partner accounts are set up by our team. Write to us with your name, bureau name, city and mobile number. There's no joining fee. Once your account is ready you'll get a login and your own referral link.
Sign in with your partner account, open "Your candidates" and choose "Upload a candidate". Start with name, gender and mobile number, then fill in their biodata and photos section by section. Only upload someone who has agreed to have their profile on VivahSangini. The candidate can later sign in with a one-time code sent to their own phone — no password to share.
No. Only you can manage the candidates you upload. People who register through your referral link count towards your rewards, but you can't see or edit their profiles.
You earn points for every candidate you upload, every person who registers through your referral link, and a commission on every plan your members buy — including renewals and upgrades. One point is worth ₹1. Your wallet shows your balance in points and rupees, plus every transaction. To cash out, send a redemption request with your payout details (bank account or UPI). Our team pays it and marks it paid, and only then are the points deducted.
Run a marriage bureau? Become a VivahSangini partner.
Earn for every candidate you upload, every family that joins through your link, and 30% of every plan your members buy. Download the partner brochure in English and Hindi.
